Niagara Falls Canada
2 ½ TO 3 HOURS AT NIAGARA FALLS
The great lakes network has about 23 quadrillion liters of water in it. That's 23 with 15 zeros on the end! All of this water eventually flows down the Niagara River and either over the falls or through the power stations. The Niagara River is used by more than 1 million people in Canada and the US for drinking water, recreation, fishing, and hydro power. The Niagara River generates over 5,000,000 horsepower or four million kW hours of electricity.
The best time to see the falls is in the day - that is when the most water runs over them. At night, half of the water is diverted to the hydroelectric power stations!
So what is there to do in Niagara Falls on your free time? How about the Niagara Cruise or Skylon Tower (included in your tour cost)? How about soaring above Niagara Falls in a helicopter?

Niagara Falls is breathtaking year round. In winter, ice forms at the sides of the falls and looks incredible! In the fall, the leaves turn brilliant orange, red and yellow, making photos even more stunning. Summer brings an abundance of color to the gardens and parks around Niagara Falls. Spring is a fresh and invigorating time of year and less crowded than summer months.
