Day Tour Itinerary
Your Niagara Falls Tour driver will pick you up from your hotel in Toronto (between 8.00am-8.30am) – your exact time will be given to you after you book.
Your friendly guide will give you a brief tour around Toronto while getting everyone else on board. Average group size is around 16 people, so you don’t spend a large part of your tour going from hotel to hotel picking up a big bus full of passengers.
Enjoy a drive through the Greater Toronto Area including Mississauga, Oakville, Burlington and Hamilton on your way into the Niagara region. Travel over the Garden City skyway bridge and view the Welland Canal and lock #3 of 8 locks on the canal en route to the Niagara region.
On your Niagara getaway, the first stop after departing Toronto is Niagara-On-The-Lake.
Grab a bite to eat and explore the historic town’s main street during your extended 1 hour stop. Other operators will only give you 30-45 minutes in Niagara-on-the-Lake. Niagara Day Tours offers mini coaches that can park on the main street in the centre of town - giving you more time to explore.
Other operators have bigger coaches which are not permitted to park in town – meaning you have to either walk 10 minutes to town (and back) or catch a shuttle.
We get you to the heart of this picturesque town and the stunning scenery where the mouth of the Niagara river meets Lake Ontario.More info
Your next stop is the award winning Reif Estate Winery in the beautiful Niagara wine region.
Sample 3 complimentary wines including Niagara’s famous ice wine. Note that ice wine is very expensive to make and almost all wineries will charge you to sample the ice wine.
Niagara Day Tour has an agreement with Reif Estate Winery so you will not be charged to sample the ice wine. After enjoying the winery and tastings from the vineyard, you begin the scenic drive along the Niagara river towards Niagara Falls.More info
Niagara Falls, your main attraction, is next with the legendary Hornblower Niagara Cruise boat ride (seasonal*).
Niagara Falls - Niagara Cruise:
Put on the provided waterproof ponchos to keep you warm and dry as you get up close and personal with Niagara Falls.
Feel the power and hear the roar of the most powerful waterfall in the world. Your 20 minute ride will take you past the American Falls and up to the base of the Canadian Horseshoe falls.
This is a fabulous opportunity to get photos with the towering falls surrounding you. Note: If you are enjoying a winter tour, the winter tour stop is the Skylon Tower outdoor observation deck, with panoramic views of Niagara Falls and region, right across to New York.
When you finish your tour, you can enjoy the rest of the afternoon exploring the Niagara Falls area, Clifton Hill, Casino, Restaurants and attractions.
Niagara Falls Tour
Your tour guide can recommend local restaurants based on your taste and preferences. The area near the falls offers souvenir shopping, dining, gardens, and much more. Clifton Hill offers fun and excitement for kids with a large arcade, rides, the sky wheel and attractions.
Niagara Casino is also close to the falls, offering gaming and dining. Your Niagara Falls day tour is complete when you are dropped back in Toronto around 6pm with unforgettable memories to cherish.
We provide you with a complementary water bottle as refreshment for the return drive after your exciting afternoon exploring Niagara Falls. Note: Your Niagara Falls Tour itinerary may also run in reverse order.
Looking for high flying adventure? Prior to reaching the Falls, we stop at the helicopter pad for those wishing to do the 10 minute scenic helicopter flight over Niagara Falls.
The flight is optional but the view from the air is exceptional.
Beginning with the Sir Adam Beck Generating plant and the Niagara Parks Commission School of Horticulture, the flight follows the Niagara River from the Whirlpool area (look for the Spanish Aero Car crossing the gorge), over the Whirlpool Rapids and the Rainbow Bridge.
The green grass and floral beauty of Queen Victoria Park stretches below as the helicopter passes by the American Falls and the Skylon Tower.
Just when it looks as if you will reach the Minolta Tower, your Niagara Falls helicopter tour begins to change direction following the curve of the Canadian Horseshoe Falls. Rainbows appear and disappear from all directions.
The helicopter levels off and continues along the route back to base. If you want to see one of the world’s natural wonders from the air – you can’t miss this once in a lifetime opportunity, specially priced at $111 per person for Niagara Day Tour passengers.
